Prague 12 Vestec - The Versatility Of The Machine

The Prague 12 Vestec is one of the oldest models of a wind-driven air compressor. It was developed by Oskar Vestec, a Czech engineer in 1920 and has been on the market ever since, first by a machine shop and later by an importer. The vessel is still produced today and still sells well throughout Europe.

The vestec air compressor is considered an advance over other air compressors because of its many unique attributes. Firstly, it has an electric motor instead of a petrol motor. This is to reduce its carbon footprint, and to be more environmentally friendly. Secondly, the pump used in it is unique, as it pumps air through a special nozzle, rather than the normal one-way valve of most air compressors.

The original Vestec also had the ability to be programmed to control the amount of air, so that the air could be pumped from high pressure to low pressure. As such, it could be programmed to use either a lower or higher flow when required, although this was not as efficient as the modern version.

The vessel's hydraulic system is also unique, with the pump being controlled by a hydraulic system which is connected to the compressor through a shaft which runs alongside the machine. This shaft is able to be moved in order to pump the air, and the hydraulic pump is able to operate in any position it needs to, in order to keep pumping the air.

Despite its popularity, there are many disadvantages associated with the original machine. Although it pumps very efficiently, it is not a quiet machine, and as such it has been found that some people suffer from noise pollution due to the noise the machine makes while running. Also, it can be difficult to use and control, as the pump has a number of controls and can be difficult to understand.

Due to these problems, the newer version of the Vestec, the Prague 13, was introduced in the 1980s. This machine incorporates the two main strengths of the original one - the efficiency of the air pump and the quietness of the machine - but has changed in order to be able to run with much less noise. This machine has a smaller pump, which make it easier to operate, and much simpler to program, with fewer controls.

The Prague 14, which was introduced in 1986, is a little bigger than the original Vestec, and is still able to pump as much as fifteen cubic feet of air per minute. It is quieter and also has a greater capacity.

In the current market, the latest Vestec is the Prague 18, which was introduced in 2020. With its improved design and more compact size, it is not as efficient as the older versions, but is still very effective, as it pumps over twenty-five cubic feet per minute.
